Immanuel Lutheran STEM Lab Renovation

Valparaiso, IN

When Immanuel Lutheran Church and School sought to modernize its learning environment, the school partnered with Facet Architecture to renovate two existing computer and science labs into a unified 1,850-square-foot STEM and computer lab. The redesigned space supports hands-on learning, digital instruction, and collaborative education while encouraging student creativity and engagement.

The new lab features a distinctive coding nook wall with honeycomb-shaped seating that creates flexible collaboration zones for students. Bright colors, geometric patterns, and expanded workstation areas were thoughtfully integrated to inspire innovation and support a wide range of STEM curriculum activities. This project highlights how STEM lab design for schools can transform traditional classroom environments into dynamic, future-ready learning spaces.
