When IBEW Local 531 wanted to expand its union hall in La Porte, they turned to the Design/Build team of Facet Architecture and Larson-Danielson Construction. Our work encompassed everything from initial floor plans to detailed architectural, civil, structural, and preliminary MEP drawings. We also handled construction documents and permitting and oversaw construction administration throughout.
The project features a 1,768 square foot addition, which includes a new storage area, kitchen, office spaces, and restrooms. A larger and more appealing union hall with acoustical panel walls and ceilings and a refreshed lobby area were also part of the design/build process. Our commercial design services focused on enhancing the facility’s functionality and appearance for IBEW Local 531’s officers, staff, and members.
