When the City of La Porte set out to develop a modern facility to support firefighter health, training, and emergency response operations, they partnered with the Design/Build team of Facet Architecture and Larson-Danielson Construction. The new Fire Station #3 features a contemporary design and an expansive layout that supports department training, daily operations, and emergency preparedness. The facility was carefully planned to serve both first responders and the surrounding community, providing space that can function as an emergency shelter during severe weather or disaster events.
This fire station architecture design project emphasizes firefighter safety and long-term wellness through intentional design solutions. Interior spaces include features such as a dedicated sauna to support toxin removal and cancer prevention initiatives, along with efficient apparatus bay layouts, training areas, and operational support spaces. Facet Architecture worked closely with project stakeholders to deliver a public safety facility that enhances response readiness while supporting the physical and operational needs of modern fire service teams.
